For over 50 years, Abel’s Marina & Boatyard has provided professional marine storage, maintenance, repair, and refit services to boaters throughout Mount Desert Island and Downeast Maine. As a full-service marina and boatyard, we offer both seasonal and year-round support for recreational vessels, cruising yachts, and commercial vessels.
Our experienced team provides comprehensive mechanical, electrical, fiberglass, painting, varnishing, rigging, welding, and general boatyard services. Whether your vessel requires routine maintenance, winterization, diagnostics and repairs, cosmetic refinishing, mast stepping, crane assistance, or a complete refit project, our staff has the equipment and expertise to keep your boat operating safely and reliably.
Abel’s offers both indoor and outdoor storage options for the winter and summer seasons, including storage for tenders, inflatables, and masts. Our facility is equipped with travel lifts, crane services, forklifts, pressure washing equipment, and specialized marine service tools to handle projects of nearly every size and scope.
2026 Selected Rates
- Quick Haul – Starting at $13/ft (Both ways)
- Power Washing – As low as $4/ft
- Storage – Starting at $30/ft or $20/Day
- Labor Rates – All in house Labor is $100/hour
- Seasonal Dockage – $120/ft for the season
- Seasonal Moorings – $1,850 for the season
- Transient Dockage – $5/ft per night (plus electrical charges if applicable)
- Transient Moorings – $1/ft ($40/night minimum)
Additional rates may apply for haul-outs, launches, crane services, mast storage, shrink wrapping, winterization, mechanical work, electrical services, and specialized projects. Please contact us for a complete rate sheet or an estimate.
